How different the decade would have been if....
...a few thousand elderly West Palm Beach voters were better able to read their ballots?

Think about it.... all the crappy shit that happened in the 2000s... most of which can be traced to Bush's election.... which would never have occurred if close to 5,000 West Palm Beach elderly voters didn't accidentally vote for Pat Buchanan because of a poor ballot design.

Weird twists of fate..... that would've been different if one person in Florida hadn't designed such an assinine ballot.

How many of our 4000+ dead soldiers would still be alive?
How man of the thousands of Iraqi citizens would still be alive?
How much closer to a green energy economy would we be?
Would 9/11 even have occurred at all?

Happy New Year.

1. agree.......Buchanan received 3,500 votes, the most he'd ever gotten in his life. Even HE was

surprised! (Bush won by a paltry 536 votes....no wonder they fought the recount tooth and nail!)

14. I remember him stating flat-out that, "they obviously never intended to vote for me".
But the coup was already underway...

I wonder if O'Conner had known what her vote would bring, would she still have gone that way?

2. Or if Vice-President Gore had...
...demanded a full recount.

However, lessons have been learned and now we have Senator Al Franken.

12. Even when the other guy is dealing off the bottom?
Sometimes, the best response is to kick over the table.

4. President Gore of 2000 would have been President Obama of 2009
I presume.

6. Katherine Harris would have found a way to pull it off regardless.

She had Diebold on her side.

able to take his rightful place as President?
