Here's your chance to DU the Fucked Snooze "Top Political Scandal of the 2000s" poll
Right now, with 4,006 votes, Plame gets FIVE PERCENT. Probably because of "Fox News Special Correspondent Karl Rove."

:grr:

What Do You Think Is the Top Political Scandal of the 2000s?

FOXNews.com

http://www.foxnews.com/opinion/2009/12/31/think-political-scandal-s/

The first decade of the 21st Century was chock full of salacious, riveting, sometimes repulsive, sometimes gratifying political scandals. They are too numerous to list here, but some of them rose to the top. So what made these scandals truly memorable? In some cases, it was the sheer shock value. In others, it was their ability to influence public policy and public attitudes. In others, it was the fact that, well, somebody got caught on tape -- and you can't argue with that.

Mark Sanford's Affair

Rod Blagojevich accused of trying to sell off Obama's Senate seat

John Edwards' affair and love child

Eliot Spitzer's affair with a high-end prostitute

Sen. Larry Craig arrested for lewd conduct in a bathroom

D.C. madam outs Washington's dirty secrets

Mark Foley's explicit e-mails to congressional pages

Jack Abramoff pleads guilty to fraud

Abuse at Abu Ghraib

Outing of Valerie Plame as a CIA agent

2. Amazing that HALF of their choices for the DECADE involve sex
I know, sex sells, and it's what the public is interested in...

...but I'd like to see more choices like Michell Malkin claiming that John Kerry shot himself in Vietnam so he could get a purple heart. She went on "Hardball," Tweety tore her a new one, and then she went running to Unca Rush to complain about her unfair treatment on the show.

THAT kind of "scandal."

You stay classy, Fox "News!"

3. Who's that Repug who likes to wear baby diapers with prostitutes?
He's not on here??? IMO they should do a separate list of sex scandels, not put Abu Ghraib and the Plame case up against Mark Foley's pedophilia.

6. Vitter's sex scandal is properly not placed on this list
Yeah, it was funny to see the Family Values GOP proven to be hypocrites, but come on: the only things that really should have been on here were Blago (which is winning, fortunately; it was very bad), Abramoff, the torture scandal, Valerie Plame and MAYBE Mark Foley because that one was such a serious senior/subordinate abuse thing.

5. I'm torn between Plame and Abu Ghraib.
Frankly, I'm leaning toward Abu Ghraib as a little worse than Plame's outing. The rest are just sensationalism.
