All those little party popper things, they had to be made somewhere - and the pollution from them is terrible.

The driving to parties, drinking, watching your energy consuming plasma tv's to see a ball slide down a pole, all that merriment is like putting a non-smoker in a phone booth with ten chain smokers and piping in some car exhaust.

And what is with people telling me to have a "Happy" new year? I'm depressed, you think just telling me to be happy because the earth completed a trip around the sun is going to magically cure me? How about we put xanax and zoloft in the water like we do fluoride? If one more store cashier wishes me a happy new year I will go off on them and then write a stern post about it on DU. The nerve of some people.
