Many of these fleecers have property, planes, people to "do" for them.. they don't need all that much "money".. they finagle "donations" for their worldly needs, and then brag about how little salary they draw. They have family members heading up "boards" and start foundations where their own expenses are somehow miraculously transformed into "operating expenses".. and as a church, they are taxfree..... salary would be taxable

He gives 90% of the proceeds from his books to his church, keeps 10% for himself. When his book became successful, he forfeited his church salary, and repaid every penny the church had ever given him in salary in the past. He doesn't drive a flashy car. His home is very modest, especially when contrasted with other well-known religious personalities.

He may have some flawed, bigoted views, but he does his best to walk the walk. If he just wanted the money for himself, he could write "My Purpose-Driven Taco" and retire. ad
