I Have a confession to make, I played all of you with those other two threads. I just wanted to get all of your attention... for this thread right here!

The fact is, that I just wanted to thank some of the smartest, kindest, most conscious and caring people that I've ever known in my life for accepting little old me to hang out with you all.

The whole time I've spent on DU. I've been treated with nothing but admiration and respect... And I just want to return the favor.

Despite all the personal hardship I've experienced as well with what the country and the world is going through, all of you on DU have always been there.

Through thick or thin, whether we all agree or not, DUers are right here.

Anyway, I just want to thank you all again, wish you a happy and prosperous 2010 and encourage everyone to get right back in to the thick of things to make America the better country that it has the potential to be.

actually, I was just thinking yesterday about how I appreciate this site and the people here... I was kind of wondering about what other chat boards are like, thinking I should check for comparison, deciding no, I already have enough of a time-wasting problem online.... and then I thought, it's pretty doubtful that there are many other chat communities characterized by intelligent, intellectually curious, and FUNNY people who are interested in learning about themselves and the world, and discussing their perspectives.

Plus, DU is really well designed.
