DU Call to primary action! Feb 2nd - Illinois
None of the existing house members from Illinois are part of the Blue Dog Coalition. All races have Democrats either sitting or contending for the seat in each election. Can Illinois DUers help vet the progressive credentials for the local candidates?

5. I've already made up my mind on these
Governor - Dan Hynes
Lieutenant Governor - Rickey Herndon
Attorney General - Lisa Madigan
Secretary of State - Jesse White
State Comptroller - Raja Krishnamoorthi
State Treasurer - Mark Doyle
U.S Senator - Alexi Giannoulias
U. S. Congress District 13 - Scott Carper

I'll be calling their campaign offices next week to tell them they are free to put signs in my yard as I live on a well traveled road.

6. Great thread! I look forward to learning more about the candidates.
The only one I'm really sure of is Alexi Giannoulias who has my vote for Senator.

I don't have a problem with Quinn, but I don't know how he compares to the other candidates.

7. I considered Dan Hynes for Senator in 2003
before I found out Barack Obama was throwing his hat into the ring late that year. The last guy I wanted to have it was Blair Hull, unless my choice was between him and a Republican (sort of how I approached the 2006 governor's race, Blago was bad, but I'd never vote for Topinka).
