I'm proud to be a Democrat.
Proud of the work WE have done.

Proud of the work WE continue to do.

Proud of the work WE will do.

Proud of the principles WE believe in.

Proud of the record of caring that WE have built.

Proud of OUR hard work that put Barack Obama in the White House.

Proud to be a member of the party that puts WE above ME.

Still. Yet. Always. Proud to be a Democrat.

8. I'm okay with you being a democrat.
I would never tell you you shouldn't be a democrat. I am proud of the work democrats have done in the past. But the party has moved too far to the right for me. It just doesn't represent my values anymore.

13. Congress is rarely popular as it is ground zero of real politics
and that is rarely popular.

Thanks for shining a beacon on the positive, in the midst of a rise in disruptive anti-Democratic sentiment on DU.

17. You got that right
Proud that I voted for the President, not once but twice. And that was a giant step for me because three or so years ago I thought I'd a been voting for the hill. But then I heard him speak and its never been the same for me since. He's a good solid man with a good solid plan.

How much worse it would be for the world if they were in charge. I wish Dems would get with the program.

19. Proud, absolutely.
Last summer I was hanging out around a backyard campfire with friends. My granddaughter sang Waiting On the World to Change beautifully (acapella, mind you) and this group of good friends conversed about the primaries waging on then. We didn't all hope for the same candidate in the end. I said then, how proud I was that regardless of the outcome, we would have a minority candidate for President of the United States. PROUD

The fact that we worked so hard together to get out the vote, to win a majority in both houses, and to get one of our own in the White House. PROUD

The fact that we disagree, argue, hurl insults and ignore each other, but when it comes down to brass tacks, we are actively working and yelling and crying for social justice. PROUD

Yes indeed, I am proud to be a Democrat.

24. I am proud to be a liberal, proud of our democratic ideals
but sad that the Republican party has infiltrated our party, and are pretending to be dems only to sink us in 2010 so they can take over again. They are all playing on the same team, blaming everything on the Democratic party, then they take over and make everything even worse again...as if that is possible. It's Newt Gingrich all over again.
