The History Channel is busy conflating economic problems and the ME conflicts with
apocalyptical eschatology this weekend. Revelations on steriods--updated to include Bernie Madoff and the Iranian missile tests of a few weeks ago. Who owns that channel now? It appears almost purposeful the way in which this crap is peddled to the fearful and the ill informed.

1. it's become the channel of woo
it's as useless as TLC and Discovery (except for Mythbusters, and they disappoint on occasion).

3. It is beyond irritating. TLC should change their name since they clearly have not
taught anything of use in years. x(

I record learning shows for my kids and most of them come from Discovery, the Science Channel, Nat'l Geographic, the Green channel, etc. Not much comes from Biography (it's all Hollywood stars these days, with the rare show about a president) or History, or A&E. So our learning shows are pretty much limited to science. I can't find much for history that I trust to be correct.

4. I use to love the History Channel
but in the last couple of years it seems they have this doom and gloom out look.

5. I have a very hard time watching anything on History, Discovery or even National Geographic!
The constant repetition after every commercial break is bad enough, but the phony promises of startling revelations are even worse: "Coming up next: will Hitler succeed in his plan to conquer the Soviet Union!?!"

6. We've had it on for nearly two hours. Best comedy show(s) of 2010.
There's no shortage of woo with the Armageddon channels and the many tubes of the Internets.

7. when has it ever been a history channel? it's nostradamus, hitler, and a bunch of nothing 80%
An odd type of anti-history history channel...like a lot of american media. Non-News News channels...Music channels without music...etc..etc...
