How we got to where we are today?
Basically, it was the greed of the big corporations and big banks that put the screws to the American people. With the passing of NAFTA and the trade treaties, they saw American workers competing with workers around the world and the death of the labor movement in this country. They were right.

Then they got rid of Glass-Steagal and they were operating without any rules and regulations. So they paid off the politicians of both Parties and here we are. Politicians are now bought and paid for. Everything is at a gridlock in Washington. The lack of regulations and the downsized labor costs created a crisis in this country. We will not get out of it with the present players.

It did not help that the American people put the Republicans and their laissez-faire ideas into power for so long. So I guess, in the end, we have no one to blame but ourselves?
