What the media are not telling the American people and why? |
|
They are intentionally withholding information that would clarify the present debt and deficits. They seldom mention that the debt under Bush and the Republicans doubled and that everything was put on the credit card. Nothing was paid for - not the tax cuts, not the wars, and not their Medicare prescription plan. Nada.
The media does not point out the hypocrisy of those politicians that now preach about deficits and debt. They fail to put into proper context the threats and the attacks on our country under Bush compared to the present Administration. They keep this information from the American people.
The media puts on the air former members of the Bush Administration and call them "experts" and the Democratic viewpoint is almost always viewed with a skeptical eye.
And they never, ever, question the motives of the generals and the Military Industrial Complex. They pose as "guests" to give their expert opinions on military operations or tactics. The media does not point out who they are still working for, which is usually the Pentagon.
There are many instances where the press and the television media fail the American people, simply for lack of mentioning the facts that are known to many people, but kept from the important minority that is necessary for maintaining political credibility when there is none.

1. The American Media has been lying since 1789 |
|
Nothing totally new. The only difference is their isn't as much competition to consume their lies anymore. There are 6 entities and they rule like feudal lords.

3. The media is a tool of the military industrial complex... |
|
..and all of the other corporations who have purchased "access" through campaign (bribes) contributions.
The national debt and budget deficits are only brought up when legislation/policies harm the corporations. Look what happened when we tried to get meaningful healthcare reform, "We can't afford that!", "We're in such debt now...it will ruin the country!"
Conversely, when we want to spend billions on war or bank bailouts--the debt and deficits are HIDDEN!!
You can follow these memes in talk radio too. They are all about the deficit now. However, when Bush was handing money to billionaires and millionaires (in the form of tax cuts) and shelling out blank checks for needless wars---no debt issues were mentioned.
It's revolting.
