(disclaimer: I never supported Hillary Clinton for president and that is NOT the point of this thread, so if you are thinking of going there, don't.)

Sarah Palin is polling such that she and Hillary Clinton are statistically equal in the breadth of their esteem among those polled.

Let your head go there for a second.

Sarah Palin.

Hillary Clinton.

I'm sorry. I'm just not getting the same vibe when I say those names. I can say Palin first and then Clinton or Clinton first and then Palin.

I see Clinton as competent, smart, professional, accomplished, no nonsense, and most remarkably, a true team player.

I see Palin as a grifting panderer who is all about Sarah. And dumb as a post.

How can anyone make a case for equivalency among those two? And yet, while I can't understand how it happens, it happens.

Just how fucked are we?

2. When I read that poll
I figured people weren't using any critical thought on either side of the aisle, they were just picking the highest ranking woman they knew in their party because we see the world in terms of sports teams and competitions. If people really stopped to think about the women who have taken the most courageous stands on any specific issue they care about - I suspect they'd have different answers, whether they are right, left, or centrist.

4. Seriously. Hillary easily has 40 IQ points on Palin.
Hillary is one of the most well-informed politicians out there. Her grasp of facts amazed me during the presidential debates. Palin...not so much.

6. I need to know how the poll was done. Did they ask people to name the most admired women
or did the pollster supply the names for people to choose

If the pollster supplied the names, I give the poll very little credibility

8. That one gave me the chills.

Let's face it, ol' Sarah has tapped some primitive dislike--of government, of Washington, of educated leaders, of "them." I see her as the attractive Limbaugh. And both are hypocritically feeding at the trough of inarticulate, generic dislike.

:scared:

9. Let's check the IQ of those putting out these polls
Something is WRONG with their abilities.

They must be polling only to Republicans.

There polls questions must be saying---

Did you know that Sarah Palin is from Alaska, do you think Alaska has bears?

Same people who admire Sarah Palin.

The point is that this country is LOADED with people who do not value competence, intelligence, or
the ability to identify excellence.

12. Admired---for what???? I can see a lot of people admiring her
spunkiness but would also see her as unfit to be Presidential
Candidate.
