Do you have particular political causes to support this new year?
I figure I can't get everything I want. So I pick particular topics, and work accordingly, as best I can. This year it will again be 2nd amendment rights and the environment. I'm adding gay rights. Although this state is so hostile to gay rights, I think it's like trying to hold back the tide. But I'll do what I can.

What are your causes?

14. agreed, but i'd call those human rights, not political issues. nt.
I'm done with politics. It is disgusting and sickening.
My causes are social justice issues. Unfortunately, that involves politics. Sigh! No win situation

10. I totoally agree with this, but,
I am losing hope it is possible. If I knew how to do it, I would.

The corporations are firmly in control of the government, and the media. The corporations want all of the money for themselves. I don't actually see how to stop them.

I really did think Obama and his crew were our best hope to get our country back from them. I'm no longer hopeful.

4. Funny that the first three posts in this thread mention both the 2nd amendment AND civil rights
We all know how powerful of a lobby the NRA is. Any chance that Wayne LaPeter and the rest of those jack booted idiots could be thrown out and replaced by a more progressive group?

Picture this - Gun nuts for marriage equality rallies!

9. Climate Change!
In the past month or two I went from being a party hack(NDP) and going after all the issues, to focusing mostly on climate change...so much so I got arrested. The science scares the hell outa me, and it's only going to make every other problem I care about worse.
