Just had an older Winger in the office;
Says that we should have been dropping A-bombs on Libya after Pan Am 103, Iran after the Embassy takeover, Lebanon after the Marine barracks bombing, and now Yemen. Says that they'd think twice before allowing Al Qaeda into the countries...

Also, no taxes, no Medicare, no Social Security, no illegal aliens...a complete litany whilst his wife was getting treated. It's like having a branch of the John Birch Society in your own backyard!

What a way to start the week-year.

(you're a dentist IIRC?)

Sounds like this particular patient doesn't need a dentist; he needs a brain transplant!

ETA: I reread it and realize that in this case it was the patient's spouse, not the patient. I don't envy her for having to live with him!

The dichotomy of their ranting is amazing.

6. We have a lady here in town
that writes letters to the editor. One most recent, she says I hope Oboma's health care plan fails.
Then she says, I don't want anyone messing with my Medicaid, then she goes on to explain the merits of Medicaid and how it should'nt be messed with.

8. Refresh my memory
When did Qaddafi get his palace surgically bombed? I recall one of his sons was killed in a US attack. I forget if it was Reagan or Clinton's era when it happened?

We enacted swift American whoop ass justice on him though, didn't we?

18. Thanks for the info
Now, another one, as you know a lot more about this than I do.

Am I correct that the bombing was in direct retaliation for Lockerbie? OR did Qaddafi do something else that got Ronnie mad?

Thank again

20. It was in Reagen's term.
I remember a daughter being killed. I don't remember reports on Gaddafi's son being killed, but I don't remember everything either.

13. I'm beginning to wonder if that sort of extreme compulsive wing nuttery in older people
is a sign of someone who was always a nasty cuss developing dementia.

My stepfather was not a nasty person, far from it, but one of the early signs of dementia was obsessiveness about certain topics.

(He remained cheerful and good-natured until he was no longer capable of responding to his environment at all.)
