Conservative talker Melanie Morgan ailing, resigns from radio show


Former KSFO conservative talk radio co-host, provacateur and activist Melanie Morgan resigned from her nationally-syndicated radio show Monday for health reasons.

We connected with Morgan Monday. She says "I'm fine," but wanted to return to the Bay Area from Washington, D.C. to be near family and friends as she continues to explore what she calls her "health challenge."

In a note to listeners Monday, Morgan said, "Yes, it's true. I am leaving the radio. For a while."

"I have resigned from America's Morning News with a tremendous amount of sadness," Morgan writes.

"I have some health issues that I need to attend to and that's the reason why I am leaving Washington, D.C. and returning to California where my family and friends can help me get through this challenging time.

1. I am NOT going to wish the lying hatemonger well.

She lied about Iraq war veteran and vets' activist Jon soltz, saying he "undermin[ed] the real mission of our troops."

Then, she just plain made up military law so she could call Soltz "a hypocrite and a liar."

Let's not forget the hateful, eliminationist "execute the traitor" vitriol she had for Bill Keller -- which she was still trying in vain to defend a year later.

Her anti-intellectual, anti-debate "interrupt and shout down" tactics backfired so badly on PBS "NewsHour" that she was banned from the show.

Then there was the time she laughably and delusionally accused American Muslims of trying to enact sharia law.

That's just a taste of the lies and hatred she's shown for progressives, liberals, Democrats and patriots.

She has undermined discourse.

She has lied. Repeatedly.

She has hurt our country.

I hope she suffers long and intensely.
