What is Dick Cheney really doing?
Dick Cheney's patriotism can be discussed. So can his newly displayed emotionality. More important would be a discussion of what is he really doing. What is his motivation. What could he lose and what might he gain from speaking out. What is at risk for Cheney personally with a second Obama Presidential term? I wonder if his very survival as a free American is at stake? If we can be distracted by Cheney's outrageous comments, might we forget to follow up on prosecuting his criminal actions while serving as Vice President? Might the Obama administration be distracted by the side attacks and discontinue building a case to prosecute Dick Cheney for his crimes against humanity? I also wonder whether his goal is to create rebellion. I wonder how he might profit financially if his continued attacks on this administration successfully contribute to disunion, chaos and martial law. Instead of letting Dick Cheney set the topic, we would do better to discuss Dick Cheney and his motivation.

3. I believe that since an attack could happen where actual lives certainly could be lost next time....
Edited on Tue Jan-05-10 02:20 AM by FrenchieCat
Cheney is basically setting Pres. Obama up, so that no matter what, unlike Bush getting 90% support during that tragedy, Obama will be blamed directly......

Think of this as a way of politicizing this attack that ended with no lost lives,
so that if a fatal one happens, Cheney will not have to say a thing; folks will already be thinking that Obama should be to blame, not discussion necessary.

However, since most who call themselves Democrats at this site, could care less about terrorism, Obama or anything other than the fact that their dream list still has been made law yet, you are asking a good question at the wrong site.....

In otherwords, asking the question you are asking here, has a 50/50 chance of being answered like it might over at Freeperville...the other folks who don't want this president to succeed.

4. This is about power. He's franchising his empire off of the
Bush one. The Bush name is akin to political suicide right now, but Cheney not so much or so he thinks.
Look at his daughter out there promoting herself. This man is dangerous.

5. While we are distracted,
we no longer discuss PNAC. We no longer take seriously the careful progression of steps taken while Bush was in office regardless of public reaction. We do not look to see that Cheney continues to put forward that plan.

9. He's old, hated, a failure with his reputation in tatters.
Nobody wants to go out on that sort of note. Most people (hell, even Nixon) would choose to take the high road. Instead he's, well, being a dick.

10. I don't care what he is doing - I just wish the MSM would feel the same way as I do.
Why do they give him all this attention? They need to ignore him and make him irrelevant.
And they need to stop calling him Vice President...that sends shivers down my spine - he is the EX VP.

Ignore him.

11. Dick Cheney is disintegrating - his enablers are allowing him to continue his pride as:
The most vindicative, draft dodging, bullshit fear & war mongering neocon chicken-hawk America has ever known to date bar-none! - Dick Cheney *is* The Portrait of Dorian Grey wrapped in the false piety of the Stars & Stripes Forever
