Iran Bars Contacts With 60 Organizations
Source: China View

TEHRAN, Jan. 5 (Xinhua) -- Iran banned its citizens from having contact with 60 institutions and a number of media outlets due to their involvement in the country's post-election unrest, local satellite Press TV reported on Tuesday.

A senior Intelligence Ministry official said on Monday that 60 European and U.S. foundations and institutions played a role in inciting post-election violence in the Islamic Republic, the report said.

The British Broadcasting Corporation, Voice of America, The Soros Foundation, the National Endowment for Democracy, the National Democratic Institute, the East European Democratic Center, the Smith Richardson Foundation, and National Defense University of the U.S. are on the Intelligence Ministry blacklist, Press TV added.

They are trying to help overthrow the Islamic Republic, the report quoted the official as saying without giving his name.
