Right Wing Hatemonger Files as a Democrat in Texas County Race
http://bayareahouston.blogspot.com/2010/01/right-wing-hatemonger-files-as-democrat.html

Conservative anti-gay activist Dave Wilson will be on the March 2 primary ballot for Harris County Precinct 4 commissioner as a Democrat.

Wilson was the self appointed anti-gay activist who sent out 35,000 anti-gay mailers against Houston's new Mayor Annise Parker. He is running against a republican incumbent, Jerry Eversole who recently received the biggest fine in Texas history by the Texas Ethics Commission for spending over $180,000 of his donors money on items such as $26,000 of cattle (really), antique western chaps (I am not kidding you), $7000 on antique books, $39,000 on an antique firearm for his collection, $18,000 on golf items, and $20,000 on antique art and western wear.

1. So how long before Tim Kaine cuts this piece of shit a big check?
Just the kind of Third Way "democrat" they're looking for. :eyes:

3. Really?
I take it you're unfamiliar with the long-held, hands-off approach of the national Democratic party when it comes to Texas elections. I take it you're also unfamiliar with the fact that Governor Kaine chairs the DNC - not the DLC.

2. Well, it was just a matter of time
before the crazy figured this out. If you can't win as a crazy Republican, run as a crazy Democrat. Let's see how crazy the folks of Harris County are.

Isn't there someone sane who can step in a run in this? Even if this is just a local election the people there deserve some kind of rational representation, even if it is just for county commissioner.

5. THis is a very powerful position
But not winnable by a Democrat even with the incumbents massive ethics problems. Seriously we couldnt find a Democrat to run. It would be a losing race.

This guy is sick. I hope we can find a loophole to kick his ass out.

6. Is there a way that the Democratic party can say
"Thanks, but no thanks ..."?
