Do you think you could pretend that "separate but equal" was a just policy?
Could you be satisfied with a $50,000 car that had no radio, no power steering, no air conditioning and got 7 miles per gallon?
Can you bring yourself to say "George W. Bush was a GREAT president!" without gagging or giggling?

So, why are we expected to stomp, whistle, cheer and applaud for the current "Health Care Reform" bill?

Does it make the car described above somehow acceptable if we note that it "has some good stuff": i.e., it doesn't leak and the horn sounds nice?

The truth is that most everyone would be awfully disappointed with that car. And, a whole lot of us are awfully disappointed---not just with the bill---but, also with the Democrats who keep telling us we are fools to feel the way we feel.

I had hoped that cognitive dissonance would disappear once Bush did.

1. The question is not, "Would you be disappointed?"
The question is, "Would you proceed to push the car off a bridge?"

2. That may be your question. It is not mine. I wouldn't reach your question because
I wouldn't buy the car.

3. If the dealership wouldn't give me my money back or let me trade it for another, why not?
Of course, I guess I could fill it with soil and make a planter out of it. Kind of like the policies a lot of people will have that they can't afford to use. Frame it and hang it on the wall, I guess.
