 It's just so funny! I'm thinking how shocked I would be if I'd received the invitation - I imagine you feel the same. Kind of surreal.

Just ignore it. One of my conservative friends is always sending me tea party crap, so I just click on the ignore button.

Seriously though, can't you just pretend he never invited you and basically not respond at all? That would be diplomatic.

|
http://www.facebook.com/group.php?gid=25823130196Hey, FB keeps suggesting I join the "Conservative" group. Likely because three 'friends' are in it.

I just joined the group.
I have one friend who's a "fan" of Kay Bailey Hutchinson and they keep suggesting I become a fan-- I don't think so!
I get ads on FB for Glenn Beck stuff all the time.

Me, I'd probably say, "Thanks, but my brain still works. Good luck to you."
Another delightful reason for me not to create a Facebook or My Space account.

plenty of liberal FB pages/groups/whatever are joined by Repugs/"conservatives"/psychos, solely for the purpose of calling us idiots ... some of them actually TRY to be sensible, and thus give me more ammunition for when Repugs f*ck up ...

Don't want to offend the guy by defriending him (business reasons), but anyone who is a "fan" of the Palin is someone whose opinions do not matter to me.

You don't have to be active and you might find something interesting inside. You don't have to change your values to monitor a group you don't agree with.
