Anybody doubt that Lieberman will switch to the GOP |

if the Senate becomes tied in the next election.

1. He's an Independent now. |
|
Why should he switch to GOP if he can continue to caucus with the Democratic Party as a mole? He'll continue to caucus with the Democratic Party so he can run tell the GOP everything the Democratic Party plans to do ahead of time, just like he is doing now.

I think if he becomes a Republican that's the end of his story. I think as an independent who can claim to be the last honorable democrat (even if independent) the story goes on. And it's all about Lieberman you know? He wants the story to go on, an endless tableau in which he bravely denounces his own party because he is the one honest democrat (in his mind).

3. Nothing will change... |
|
If the GOP regains control of the Senate, he will caucus with them. If the Democrats retain control, he will pretend to caucus with the Democrats while continuing to vote right.

4. Nope...He's Got Nothing To Gain. |
|
If he switches he loses his coveted chairmanship (which should be stripped anywho) and be a backbencher in a minority party. Look at how quiet Arlen is as a Democrat...a major reason is he lost his seniority, but he did it to try to save his ass. As long as Reid kisses his ass cause Joe "votes the right way more often than the wrong way" (coughbullshitcough) Joementum has nothing to lose to remain a major hemeroid.

14. There is no way possible for the Senate to become tied. |
|
A net pickup of ten seats is simply not possible in the current electoral climate.
Ain't gonna happen.
Lieberman ain't goin' nowhere, and he knows it.

I do believe that both Joe Lieberman and Ben Nelson are serving their final terms in the Senate, however.

for one thing the senate is not going to be switching to a puke majority, nor the house either. this term will be LIEbermans last stand, after this he'll be private citizen, lobbyist galore
If you think for a minute that the average joe can't and or won't see what the hell the problem is I say sorry, I can't help.
