Is it just me or is "I got mine, fuck you" obsolete? |
This year's model seems to be, "I got mine, and am willing to spend a sizable part of it to ensure that you are fucked."

1. If we didn't all have to have the same defintion of what "mine" consists of |
then it wouldn't matter what was said at the conclusion of that sentence.

4. That might be a good modification |
But those who have are always willing to lay out a little scratch to realize sizable returns. If there are 10 million lottery number combinations (for example), and the prize is $80 million, the haves don't mind buying up every number combination to screw everyone else. The killer for me is how many people are willing to do the haves' dirty work for free. Cf. every nitwit tea-bagger who squawks about keeping the government out of their Medicare. The insurance company fatcats just chuckle and marvel at the spectacle of people working so diligently against their own self-interest.
