He played clips reporting that he "took a political shot at health care reform" and now says there was nothing political about what he said, that what he meant was that "there were no bureaucrats" between him and his checkbook.

Well, that's the point, ain't it. He even played Keith's comment that anybody getting $33 million per year like LIMBOsevic would get that kind of care.

Then he tried more spinning, saying that, no, *anybody* can go to the E.R. and get the same kind of care. Funny how then the doctors had decided to let him go, but his girlfriend (sic) said, "No, you STAY another night, you can watch the ball go down on t.v. at the hospital." So he stayed another night. Uh, that, too, is an option for everybody?!1

Rush Limbaugh will never run into that situation, but lots of other people have to face that exact tradeoff: everything you own in exchange for the medical care that might save your life.

I wish I believed in hell. I'd pay good money to watch his first few minutes there. But since that's not possible, when he does die, I'll just celebrate publicly in these pages and ignore all the people who tell me I should have more class. This kind of crass behavior is reserved for exactly 4 people in this world: Rush Limbaugh, Dick Cheney, Don Rumsfeld, and maybe Glen Beck (although he's a lightweight, and I may just spit once on the ground when he falls over for the last time).

And then have to face years of debt collection agencies hunting them. Or declare bankruptcy. Or hoist the costs on the community (socialism).


He truly does live in his own world.
