1. I think we need him more speaking out via the media |
|
if he goes to Washington soon he would become corrupted like all the rest.

2. I think he reaches far more people where he is |
|
Sending him to the Senate for the White House to beat into submission on DLC policy will lose us one of the most effective talkers we have. It would, effectively, silence him.

3. Did you just hear his statement on his TV show? |
|
Listening to him on the radio earlier, at times I thought he was considering it, at other times I thought he definitely wasn't.
His statement on his TV show sounded pretty strong that he was not interested.
However, people change their minds. He only was approached about it this morning so maybe given some time to think about it, and with people voicing their support (and telling him that we NEED him), he may decide to go for it.
Personally, I think he could HELP more people if he was able to help enact some of the things we so desperately want and need. There's one thing for sure, whether behind the mic or on the Senate floor, he's got our backs.

4. I did, and I felt like he left the door open. |
|
He said he had worked hard to get where he is. Then he said the fact is that no one has announced that they will run for Dorgan's seat. I definitely got the feeling that the wheels were spinning.
That didn't sound like a NO to me...

6. Yeah, we all hear things differently, and as I said, |
|
I've heard (in my mind) different things from him today.
There was a point on the radio show when a woman was pleading her case asking him to run, where I swear I could almost FEEL the wheels spinning! Then he said "I haven't officially expressed an interest in running. Officially? Hmmmm.
I bet he will be giving this a LOT of thought -- how could one not? And he DOES have time. No doubt he'll be receiving a lot of encouragement. It will be interesting to see what happens.

Geez! Did you find it so offensive that you had to unrecommend it? Or are you just being an asshole?

9. I think this should be up to North Dakotans. |

It's their support that would make it worthwhile for him to risk considerable money, calling in any favors he can, working like a sled dog for months on end, and potentially not able to get back on TV if he doesn't win.
Still, I don't get the unrecs. OP may be a little misguided, but it sure isn't offensive.

Love him on the radio but hes in it for the moola one look at his website and you can glean all you need to know about the guy.
He is a great entertainer with a left point of view but he is often way off base with his facts or just plain ignorant of the actual process in getting things acomplished.
I hope he stays right where he is at he fills a pretty good niche there.

11. On last night's show, he did ask Dorgan |
|
whose effort to make pharmaceutical reimportation legal was neutered, if he'd be interested in a position in Obama's cabinet. Dorgan looked startled for an instant, than tried to pass it off w/ a chuckle as though it were a joke. And Ed actually didn't know what he'd said wrong and pressed the question. As if Obama has been interested in people of Dorgan's political stripe for his cabinet.
