Even Ron Christie is not able to support my Congress critter's Virginia Foxx's deluded bleating.
It was a first for me, to have the chief apologist for Bush/Cheney the Republican Party NOT blindly support a fellow Republican's statements.

My Congress woman Virginia Foxx was just shown on Hardball, as she was shown saying them, her words were written on the screen to aid those who don't speak her brand of Southern.

I can't even tell you what she said. It is always outrageous.
Dancing around the edges of her words are hypocrisy, racism, hatred and the love of anything controversial and then they culminate in a big NO to whatever may help the people.

I can't look at her ugly self and also take in what she says, she just makes me too ashamed of my district and of her.

But for Ron Christie to say something akin to:
" We cannot all feel the same way, and don't all speak the same language, and no I did not agree with what she said "
and to also act a little embarrassed, I am pleased to see that more nails are in her coffin than I thought.

This coming Sunday I'm going to meet a Democrat who will run against her.
I am anxious to see if he has what it takes to knock her off her entrenched seat.

I am ready to do a little helping.

I heard Christie speaking from the other room and thought, "Not him again!".

2. A Republican Ron Christie can't find a way to agree with?
That's when you know they've moved waaay beyond bat-shit crazy.

3. Seriously. She must be at the involuntary committment stage if
Christie didn't jump on her bandwagon.

5. Lol! yes, the most vile thing I may ever have heard on the floor of the House was her
arguing about the Matthew Shepherd bill and saying it was all a hoax and his murder was just a robbery gone bad. And with his parents in the House. Absolutely out of her mind and reprehensible.

8. I think this woman is insane and evil all rolled into one. Matthew Shepard
was such a lovely young man. We Dems in Colorado mourned his loss and were astounded and sickened by the hatred that caused it.

That *woman* is vile. How on earth anybody could have said something so evil to begin with, much less with his MOTHER in attendance, is just beyond me.

14. And our erstwhile congresswoman Musgrave
works with both Foxx and Palin in fighting abortion rights. Birds of a feather. Yuck.

7. Or perhaps Christie is off his game today? IMO, his mental gymnastics demonstrated to
spin any crazy right wing meme POSITIVE is legendary. :wow:

Perhaps tomorrow, if it's discussed, he'll not disappoint? :P

4. Best of luck.
My particular Congress critter currently has no Dem contenders. It would be nice if that would change, but I have no problem leaving that box blank if it doesn't.

I notice that Lee Terry is facing a primary challenge and we do have a Dem candidate in that district, so I'll have a place to focus my energies there.

Rep. Virginia Foxx: Every Promise Obama Has Kept Endangers Our Lives
6 hours and 52 minutes ago by Walid Zafar

Rep. Virginia Foxx (R-NC) appeared on the Bill LuMaye radio show yesterday to discuss President Obama's response to the attempted Christmas day plot to destroy a Detroit-bound airliner. Foxx, who in October claimed that the President wanted to "take what's good about this country and change it into something that's not good," and in November warned that proposed health care reform legislation would be a greater threat than any terrorist, yesterday accused President Obama of only keeping promises that endanger the lives of Americans.

Foxx: How can you believe anything the man says, anyway? He's not kept a single promise to the American people. He's kept promises to his union base, to his trail lawyers, you know, he signed an Executive Order to close Guantanamo. All the promises he's kept are the ones that endanger our lives.

10. Thank you Babylonsister. I'm glad you know how to find stuff, and I'm thankful
you made my post complete.

She is such a piece of work, my hair stands up whenever I see her in person or on the TV.

11. Isn't Virginia the dimwit who claimed "There Are No Americans Who Don’t Have Health Care"
and "I believe we have more to fear from the potential of that <health care> bill passing than we do from any terrorist right now in any country"?

Why, I do believe she is! I wonder if Virginia thinks the health care bill will force us all to put on explosive underwear

12. Yes - you found her and some of her verbal diarrhea purgings
She is the grey headed bobble head beside Michelle Bachman when she is taking to a podium, or you see her on the "hands off my health care" tea bagger buses. Your tax money at work.
With her constituents she is without courage of any kind, the way she meets with us is in rare call-in phone conferences.

She is an incredibly wealthy country bumpkin wimp.

15. I know it's a conservative district, but I really think yall might have a real shot at her
Fred Heineman went down in flames here after claiming he was "lower middle class," based on his $183K salary. 'Course, yall might have to be careful exactly what parts of her offensive crap yall quote in what circles, but the woman's certifiably nuts IMHO. It looked for a spot in 2008 like Roy Carter could tackle her: polling showed him ahead for a while IIRC

13. David Corn was not taking any guff from Christie.
He really challenged Christie's consistent indignation over any suggestion that Republicans are capable of wrong thinking. Matthews basically backed up Corn.

Christie's meme: "Lemme finish -Lemme finish -Lemme finish -Lemme finish -Lemme finish -..."

16. "Lemme finish" will never again be as obnoxious and thoroughly disgusting
as it was when falling off the lips of chimpy fucknuts.
I celebrate I don't have to hear it from him any more. Makes it almost tolerable coming from the wind up toy Christie.
