Anyone know anything about website, Newsbusters.org?
I'm not familiar with them, and I was just reading a story that sounded as though their mission is to heap all kinds of crap on Keith Olbermann.

It might have been a one-off, but since I've never really noticed them before, I don't know for sure.

Here's the article I was reading.

2. Source Watch is your friend

"The NewsBusters blog is a project of the Media Research Center (MRC). It has a goal to "provide immediate exposure of liberal media bias, insightful analysis, constructive criticism and timely corrections to news media reporting."<1>

NewsBusters was created in August 2005 with the guidance of Matthew Sheffield and Greg Sheffield, who operated the website RatherBiased.com (now inactive), which criticized former CBS Evening News anchor Dan Rather.<1> It is a group blog featuring both MRC employees and non-MRC writers.

NewsBusters also hosts a webcast called "NewsBusted," which it calls "the freshest comedy on the Web making fun of liberals and the media."<2> "

3. Did you read the "About" page? Explains it pretty well
http://newsbusters.org/about

Any time anyone uses the term "liberal media bias" that should clue you in. Not to mention the fact it's run by L. Brent Bozell III.

About NewsBusters.org

Welcome to NewsBusters, a project of the Media Research Center (MRC), the leader in documenting, exposing and neutralizing liberal media bias.

In August of 2005, with the assistance of Matthew Sheffield of Dialog New Media, the MRC launched the NewsBusters blog to provide immediate exposure of liberal media bias, insightful analysis, constructive criticism and timely corrections to news media reporting.

Taking advantage of the MRC's thorough and ongoing tracking of liberal media bias, including a wealth of documentation and an archive of broadcast and cable news recordings dating back to 1987, NewsBusters plays a leading role in blog media criticism as a clearinghouse for evidence of liberal media bias. It combines this formidable archive and its compilers inside the MRC with the contributions of already-established netizen watchdogs.

The Media Research Center's mission is to bring balance and responsibility to the news media. The MRC was founded on October 1, 1987 by L. Brent Bozell III, who set out to not only prove — through sound scientific research — that this bias exists, but also to neutralize its impact on the American political scene.

4. Newsbusters has always heaped a lot of crap on Olbermann.
That's because he's on to them, and they don't like it.

Ignore them. It should be obvious from the comments on that article alone that they hate him because he has a problem with someone proselytizing for a religion on a news show, and because they have a very straitlaced view of Christianity that tells them it is the one true religion and that therefore it's not only OK but incumbent upon its believers to tell people so at every possible opportunity, no matter what the situation or circumstances. It doesn't matter if you're on a news show or not; in fact, ANY place in which you have the opportunity to reach and convert millions of people is an excellent place to preach Christianity, in their eyes.

Olbermann doesn't believe that. He's from the school where talking about religion in public is not polite. He's always believed there's a time and a place for talking about religion, if you want to, but a news show isn't it. Therefore, Newsbusters thinks he is the son of Satan.
