Marshals seize $1 million in food from warehouse

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) - U.S. marshals seized more than $1 million worth of bulk restaurant food products from a Nashville food processor and warehouse.

According to a news release from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration, the Wednesday raid of Won Feng Trading Inc. came after inspectors observed numerous problems including food contaminated with rodent feces and urine.

The FDA issued a warning letter in May 2009, and a November follow-up inspection found evidence of an active and widespread rodent infestation in the building.

Won Feng receives food from throughout the United States and distributes it within Tennessee.
