I read the other day, that Callay had never shown remorse for the killings. And with the stories of the alleged massacre of the kids in Afghanistan I visited the wiki page for Callay. He pulled the trigger, but he was still a scape goat.

Calley, a young, unemployed college dropout, as an example of the raw and inexperienced recruits being rushed through officer training.
