Naked Jogger Nabbed After Run Near White House

WASHINGTON (AP) ― Authorities say a man who took off his clothes and began jogging in near-freezing temperatures near the White House has been taken into custody and hospitalized for a mental evaluation.

The man was seen stripping Wednesday around 5 p.m. He left his clothes near the northeast corner of the Ellipse, the green space south of the White House.

Secret Service spokesman Darrin Blackford says run lasted less than a minute before the man was apprehended. The president was at the White House at the time. But Blackford says the man, who left his clothing in a duffel bag, didn't make any threats. His bag was declared suspicious, but its contents were found to be harmless.

Temperatures were around 35 degrees.

3. What threat could he have posed?
Maybe they thought he had one of those foreskin bombs Ann Coulter's so scared of.

18. There should have been shrinkage but...
the extra length convinced them he was packing plastic explosive molded into a sheath.

"Yeah I did. I was standin' over there by the tomaters when there he come 'round the security gate, naked as a jaybird. And I yelled 'Don't look Ethel', but it was too late. She'd already been boomed."

20. Hey, I've still got a BUNCH of 45s and those little yellow inserts to play them on a 12" table.
You can get them from Sleevetown (along with needles and cleaning kits).

A couple walking past the WH gates, looking behind them at the backside of Nixon jogging in just sneakers, asking one another, "Was that who I thought it was?"
