OLBERMANN Taunts GOP By Using The Word ‘TERROR’ 27 times
Bwahahahaha, the politics of FEAR. Thats ALL the republicans have left in their rotting bag of tricks. The same old tired tactics of yesteryear.

RawStory:

A GOP lawmaker suggested that President Barack Obama could improve his response to security threats by using the word terrorism more often. MSNBC's Keith Olbermann took the congressman's suggestion Wednesday and used the word terror 27 times in a single paragraph to show how Republicans exploiting it as a "brand name" are "doing the terror work of terrorists."

"Name one other specific recommendation that the president could implement right now to fix this," ABC's George Stephanopoulos asked Rep. Peter King earlier this week.

"I think one main thing would be to -- just himself -- to use the word terrorism more often," King responded.

"Let me answer Mr. King on his own terms," said Olbermann. "26 uses are not enough. Let me employ 27, but do so honestly."

You and your terror-obsessed political party, Congressman King, use terrorism and the terrified fear of terrorism to try to terrorize Americans into the terror that there is a terrorist attack on this terror-threatened country every terrorized day. You terrify the easily terrified into a false terror over whether our terrorized counterterrorism effort is terrifyingly inadequate and how only terror-conscious Republicans can save a terrified nation from the terrorizing Democrats who should be terrified that you call them terror-less and who should become terror-full in a terrifying speed. That in using terrorism as a terrifying brand name, you are doing the terror work of terrorists holds no terror for you.

3. S'cuse me while I facepalm...
(This is going to go around the barn a bit, but trust me, you need to see what's back there for what I'm saying to make sense...)

Anybody remember the word AWESOME ? :wow:

It used to actually mean something; if something was amazing, great, tremendous, incredible, overwhelming, an emotional, spiritual, and visceral falling-to-one's-knees because something inspired AWE...

That word was used and over-over-over-over......over-used so much that all the juice, meaning and strength has been sucked out of it. Now something that is 'awesome' can be understood to be pretty cool and receiving approval, but that's about as far as it goes.

AWESOME has dwindled to awesome...even if it has an exclamation point attached.

Now let's look at the word TERROR. Y'all see where I'm going with this, don't you...

It's a function of both the brain and the mind. You hear a noise long enough, and after a while you just filter it out until you really don't notice it anymore. How many times has it happened that there's a background noise or hum that you don't notice until it STOPS?

This constant re-iteration of TERROR TERROR TERROR is just going to wear the word out until it'll equate with being startled-
(BOO! Gotcha!), or somewhat concerned about something -"O NOES! I LOCKED MY KEYS IN THE CAR!" (for those of us who still drive cars that require keys).
You get the picture.

The word, the concept of TERROR is going to diminish and go the same way as that of AWESOME...:boring:
and then the people who are trying to whip us all into a frenzy of fear by reiterating TERROR TERROR TERROR will wonder what went wrong and why the Magic Word no longer works...

5. I seem to recall that a certain name suddenly dropped out of Bush's vocabulary
It was like all of a sudden, one day for no reason in particular, the name Osama bin Laden just disappeared from Commander Bunnypants' addresses. A few people mentioned it, but were profoundly ignored because it just wasn't kewl anymore to talk about bin Laden.

So now, six or seven years later, the Republicans are conjuring up another fake outrage over nothing, but this time all the kewl kidz want to talk about it. Endlessly. As if it matters.

like they've already arrived at that crossroad. Kewl Republican = oxymoron. It only exists in the minds of the Kewl wanna-bees.
