....The claim that the birthers are being probed and harrassed by the agency that protects the president was made by birther queen Orly Taitz in Mother Jones magazine.

“A number of my supporters had visits from Secret Service, from different agencies, INS, Homeland Security,” Taitz said. “There are a whole number of people who got these visits to intimidate and harrass them.” The mag interviewed others who reported visits.

But Secret Service spokesman Malcolm Wiley denied the claims, saying it’s “incorrect.” Wiley denied that any bithers were targeted or “harrassed” because of their views, and said that only people who make threats or advocate violence get Secret Service visits.

First problem: Doesn't the Secret Service work for one agency: The Treasury?

2. My bad. I thought it was. I guess denials being issued to other stories aren't LBN?

3. If they're not being investigated, they should be

From the Mother Jones article:

The real question, of course, is whether any of the Birthers might actually be dangerous. Many of the plaintiffs in the Birther lawsuits have been active or former military people. Orly Taitz reportedly recruited many of them at the Knob Creek Machine Gun Shoot and military gun show, a semi-annual Kentucky event that's a hotbed of right-wing and racist radicalism. And some of the Birthers' anti-Obama rhetoric can be pretty extreme. Taitz has even suggested that "it might be time" to exercise "our second amendment right to bear arms and organise in militias."

4. I don't understand your "First Problem".
They haven't worked for the Treasury Department since 2003.
http://www.secretservice.gov/history.shtml
The Department of Homeland Security was established with the passage of (Public Law 107-296) which in part, transfered the United States Secret Service from the Department of the Treasury, to the new department effective March 1, 2003.

But even if they did still work for the Treasury Department, why would that be a problem?

5. I didn't put that very well. Taitz said that her peeps had been ...
...visited by "Secret Service from several agencies." I thought the Secret Service was just part of one agency: Treasury. Now I know...and knowing is half the battle.

6. Orly Taitz is delusional
The Secret Service is out to get her, now? I would be surprised if they really were. It does not surprise me at all that she thinks they are.
