Edited on Thu Jan-07-10 10:15 PM by rpannier
A new Rasmussen poll in Connecticut finds Richard Blumenthal (D) leading all potential Republican challengers for U.S. Senate by wide margins.

Blumenthal leads Rob Simmons (R), 56% to 33%. A month ago, Simmons had a 13-point lead over Sen. Christopher Dodd.

Similarly, Blumenthal leads Linda McMahon (R), 58% to 34%, and tops Peter Shiff (R), 60% to 24%.

Allow me to repeat myself

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

4. Apparently Lieberman doesn't have a snowball's chance in hell
because his poll numbers have tanked in all parties, even the "independents" who elected him realize they were had and can't stand him.

7. Lieberman will be gone in 2012.
After the health care debacle, I don't expect the state of Connecticut to re-elect him again.

6. I wonder if Linda McMahon will still spend the 50 millions dollars she said she would
to get the seat.

Now that she's 20 points back, she may want to rethink her decision.

Though her husband blew 300000000 dollars on a failed football league

10. It is great news. My only worry is that
Merrick Alpert, a Dem, is not giving up his quest for the Senate nomination. We need to get a Dem elected to that seat and I don't think we should be wasting time and money on a primary here in CT. Blumenthal is a guaranteed winner, IMO. Alpert should set his sights on another office.
