Job Hunting. Does anyone see anything wrong with this picture?
Or maybe it's just me.. I don't understand the value of hard work.

"If you are ready for this challenge, then we are ready for you." (should I bring KY Jelly to the interview?)

"That's the sight of PRODUCTIVITY! Less workers, less wages, more PROFIT$!"

And you know what's coming out of their mouths next . ..

"You should be lucky you HAVE a job, ingrate!"

Why do we settle?

Does America realize there are far . . . FAR more of us than there are of rich people and police?

You realize if the French had our working conditions, they'd shut the fucking country down?

Why are we such docile and weak-willed mice-people?

I think it's fear of arrest, myself. And it sure works. We've turned into a nation of "er . . . you first"ers. WEAK.

3. They're warning you ahead of time.
I bet turnover is off the charts for one reason or another.

At 5.15, seems like they expect you to make up the difference with tips???? Maybe it's a type-o?

I'd check it out just to see what's up with it but also have a list of questions ready.

8. Great Pics on #2 lol Unfortunately.. wage is not a typo..I called on the job
And the first thing they said was, "We have many applications and feel no need to offer more than the market requires".

And yes, they said that the reason the wage is so low is because the employee is expected to generate tips. (And of course all tips must be reported and taxed to the fullest extent).

At least the lady in Human Resources was honest with me.. they will continue to kick the workers when they are down.. because they can.

Oh man... life in Reagan's free-market deregulated jeebus corporate world.... stupid 'friggin right-wing race-to-the bottom Goldman Sachs whores...

(rant off) :)

9. During the Reagan recession, I worked temp at a lot of places, and
at one plant, the workers were grumbling about their low pay and short breaks (10 minutes for one morning break and twenty minutes for lunch in a seven AM to three-thirty PM schedule), and one day during lunch, the owner came in and said, "If you don't like it here, you can go across town and work for XXX. They're paying 50 cents less an hour."

In three years of working temp, I began to understand the meaning of the phrase "capitalist pig." This guy wasn't even the worst of the lot.

11. Whoever wrote that ad can't write for beans
But tens of thousands of competent, experienced writers can't even find freelance work, let alone something that pays $5.15 an hour.

Sigh.
