It does not appear to occur with calcitriol in the tissues!
Throughout the entire range of normal calcidiol levels, tissue calcitriol levels continue to increase.

I still don't know what "ontogeny recapitulates phylogeny" means.

I don't think anyone in our class got it. Our professor was very obtuse about what
it meant.

24. I use calcitriol in some of my renal failure patients to manage their
risk of renal hyperparathyroidism and abnormal Ca and PO4 levels. But it can be dangerous in certain circumstances.

Vitamin D and its analogs are nothing to trifle with.
