Emanuel exit?
Yeah, I *know* this is the NY Post, but I found this blurb interesting ---

DC clairvoyants say Rahm Emanuel will leave as President Obama's chief-of-staff in the not-too-distant future. Though once a congressman himself, Emanuel is said to be frustrated with lawmakers who won't bend to his will. And his temper -- similar to the Ari Gold-like eruptions of his super-agent brother, Ari Emanuel, in Hollywood -- has not been well received in some quarters. The buzz was reinforced on "The McLaughlin Group" Sunday, when Rahm was labeled "Des tined for Political Oblivion by the End of 2010." Obama's fiercely loyal adviser Valerie Jarrett is said to be the frontrunner to take his place.

5. She's a nice lady, but just an Obama hack
Still not enough Washington experience; she'd be just like Mack McLarty.

10. Mack McLarty was just bad at the job, not necessarily due to lack of experience
The Chief of Staff's job is mostly to manage the President's time and Mack McLarty was bad at telling people they couldn't see the President.

3. won't bend to his will?
Geezus, I know the Message Discipline LLC team thinks Rahm is some sort of God, but I didn't realize he actually believed that about himself.

Fuck that angry dwarf assclown. He needs to be gone yesterday.

6. I've heard the same thing from different sources from Walter Jacobson on WGN Radio in Chicago
he said that he has been informed that Rham is burnt out as is exploring the idea of running for mayor of Chicago. I doubt that he'd be any better or any worse than mayor daley. I hope we can do better than Rham in our city.

12. Daley Is Running In 2011
He wants to beat his old man's tenure in office and that means another term. If Richie runs, Rahm doesn't stand a chance.

Sound more like typical beltway mental masturbation...hear a rumor and print it as a "fact".

8. I'm gonna have my neighbor make a little Emanuel doll and tie a can to its ass
She's a lawyer of all things but she believes in the power of curses, hexes and other occult practices.

And who knows, there may be something to it. She was married for many years to our right wing district attorney, who dumped her (at age 55) for his 25 year old secretary. We had her over for dinner one night a couple years ago and she confessed to us that she had made a doll representing her husband and squeezed its head with a pair of pliers. According to her nothing happened for many years but when the old dude was 70 or so, he came down with Alzheimer's or some form of senile dementia, so severe that his child bride put him in a home where he resides to this day, sitting all day with his mouth open staring at the walls.

She had had a few drinks at the time, but she's a pretty feisty lady and definitely one to carry a grudge. It may be total bullshit but if it has a chance at getting rid of this asshat, I'd be willing to give it a try.
