Whatever road we travel now leads to heartbreak
Dangerous paths with unknown destinations
Lives hanging in limbo on passionate contemplations

The greater of two sins or lesser of two goods?
I write the schedule of my disaster
Plotting nefariously, but my only intent the truth
Can’t delay the trip for even another minute
Or it will tear souls asunder
Cohesion never attained again

Minds conflicted and confused
But hearts stout and convinced
Since the start of time
Stupid mistakes of flesh kept souls separate

Itinerary of sadness penned in haste
That can bear sweet fruit
So long denied
Through fear, never even tried
Hard and painful the plan
But necessary now, with the future so unclear
Only because we don’t want to admit seeing it

The schedule of my disaster
Decisions and logistics of dread
Feelings and enduring needs solidified
Oaths made and broken, for the sake of love
So all can travel the proper road ahead
And be lost no longer.
