They always seem to have Civil Rights leader Pat Buchanan on to discuss racial issues, very interesting. And is Joe really saying that George Will is a Republican hack, but Joe isn't? I think George WIll is a twit, but he has deviated way more times in the past than Joe has. I think Republicans like Joe (even though he's claiming that this isn't partisan) just want Reid to resign so we lose the health care vote.
I think the Republicans owe us an apology that their own VP candidate didn't know the difference between North and South Korea.

5. You know what is hilarious about this? |

Scarborough & crew and all of the R operatives I've heard to date seem to think that if they caterwaul about racism, they can resume the mantle of Lincoln and African-Americans will come flocking to a party that is morally destitute in their record of dealing with fundamental issues and their impact on the community.

They can't help themselves. When they make the push for the Hispanic demographic, they cant' do so without alienating their racist base or people who talk about immigration in racist terms. They could not help themselves from having a hyper-racist reaction to the Sotomayor nomination. When she made the "wise Latina comment", they cried "Can you imagine what would happen if a WHITE MAN said that?!" Uh, yes, it would be taken differently , because they are not equal comparisons. If there is a double standard between what Democratic and Republican (and still, the comparisons they keep making are not particularly comparable), maybe they should consider WHY a double standard exists?

there is a reason that Scarborough didn't return to practicing law when he left Congress. Listening to him formulate arguments on this program is all you need to know about his skills.

Did you just see him stutter when they read the email from that woman, and go "this-this-this confirms everything I know about the mainstream media that a DEMOCRAT can SAY THESE THINGS!" Just after Pat (who, to his credit, knows that he cannot have the audacity this morning to call Harry Reid a racist, since Pat has said much worse) said that there was nothing wrong with what Reid said, except for the language. Too bad, soo sad Joe .

9. Gawd, how long have they spent on this one topic this morning? |
|
They have been talking for at least 35 minutes that I have been watching. It is agonizing. I turned it off. It should not even be a topic for discussion, but these are rethuglicans. Morning Jerk is trying to make an issue out of nothing.
There are so many things they could be talking about, but rethuglicans have no ideas to talk about, thus we get hours and hours of pseudo analysis about what somebody said.
Rethuglicans spent the entire 2008 election trying to attract "Joe Sixpack" with racist innuendo. "He's not one of us." "Magic Negro" How did that work out for them? Now they have fake outrage. I am not falling for it.

18. Indeed, they do, and they will throw more chum in the water. |

There is a discussion to have around the use of language and stereotyping and castigating people. However, we don't need what I just saw Michael Eric Dyson say right now. I admire Dr. Dyson and generally take every occasion I can find to listen to him. I fail to see how turning into a circular firing squad to benefit the Rs. This book is one written by RW mouthpieces and came out now, at the beginning of an election year, for a reason. The RW media has reconstituted into a "kinder, gentler" and more glitzy version since Limbaugh and FOX have backflipped over the proverbial shark. This book was the best they could offer by way of scandal and salacious gossip.

16. Pitchfork Pat Talking Racism... |
|
...is like the Pope talking about having sex. They kinda know what it's about but have no clue. Not that I wouldn't mind seeing Reid gone as Majority Leader, but I'd prefer to see it done by Democrats who want more Progressive and competent leadership. These shitstain can mentally masturbate...but then isn't that what they do every morning?
