you most are concerned about right now?  Which one would get
you on to the streets with a sign?  Use "other" if I
didn't include the your hot button issue and tell us what it

1. 1,2,4,5 -- that is: endless war and the loss of civil liberties

we'll have no justice in any other area without accountability from our government.


On edit: The HCR crap fits into this category as well, because the mandate constitutes yet another loss of liberty.

4. I'm with you on the Torture, Wars, That's why I listed them first.

I think if you think of the Mandate as simply a tax on those who don't join in with help paying for health care for those who can't afford it, it goes down more easily. It will affect only those who have enough to pay in my opinion. Hardly a loss of freedom. Is paying Social Security tax a loss of liberty? In some ways yes, but as we socialists say, its for the general good. Now paying to torture and paying to imprison innocents indefinitely? That' tyranny.

9. The loss of a choice is always the loss of freedom

that is: If I can't choose the path I want to take, if I'm forced by law to by a private (crappy and over-priced) psuedo product from a private company as a requirement for legal citizenship, it is most certainly a loss of liberty.

It turns insurance agencies into quasi government entities with the power of the IRS to enforce collection.

No, sir, I'll not take that easily.

2. If I have to pick just one, it's public education.

But that's because I'm a teacher.

I'm just as unhappy with the "war on terror," health care, and the economy. I'd need 4 signs.

Really, all of the issues on the poll are worth the effort.

6. Health Care for a very selfish reason

They all bother me quite frankly.

And I can see them all as being inter related.

But I went with health care for a very simple and selfish reason.

I have no health insurance. I can't afford it. I know I won't be able to get any subsidy because I "make too much". If the mandate goes through and I am required to buy insurance it will only destroy what is left of my finances. Even the cheaper penalty would bankrupt me. And if Ensign's loophole goes through, I'll be paying for insurance I can never use.

In short, if I get really ill, my best bet is to get my affairs in order and then die on my own terms.

So I find people like Limbaugh and Lieberman and others who act like health care is a privilege disgustingly ignorant.

8. Lack of prosecutions for war crimes haunts my waking hours and my slumber

The wars are something I live with daily. They're real for me....not at all something that is happening to other people.

...with human rights issues including all violations of human rights (discrimination, etc.)

and prosecutions for all crimes/abuses (war crimes/spying) of office committed by the Bush administration included in the same category.

I worry over it all...your list
