Obviously some at DU want to be manipulated by the media, although they will decry that this is not the case.

4. His book is perfect worthless shit for cable news to talk about for days on end |
|
It's that substance-less crap they can chew on with the added bonuses of ignoring real stories and keeping the Democrats on the defense. I read the article in NY Mag about Edwards, which was sourced from the book. It had no real substantive info I hadn't heard about before, made him and Elizabeth look worse than ever, plus had the bonus of throwing this story back into the news cycle.

7. The people who own the "news" also own the publishing corps |
|
Edited on Mon Jan-11-10 03:57 PM by SoCalDem
The "news shows" exist solely to promote their OTHER "shows" & the books their "news-hes & newsettes" write"..
It's all an infomercial ..Think about it.. Most of their "guests" are pols looking for money & fame..and each other.. paid network pundits & hosts...promoting their own "shows", books, magazines, & events...and most of them are paid by the same parent company.
