1. Already called today. Will call again tomorrow & everyday during the negotiations.
The links are designed for union groups and NGOs, though, and the talking points can only be read by union members.

I plan to alter the message slightly to
“We need you to stand strong for working families by voting for health care reform that:

DOES NOT tax our benefits
Contains effective cost controls
Includes a public health care option"

b/c I believe it would help the economy more to have insurance costs kept low and be subsidized more by gov't than businesses.

But it raises an interesting question that I can't seem to find an answer to no matter who I ask: The Senate bill won't allow someone into the insurance exchanges and qualify for the subsidies they offer if their employer offers coverage. It doesn't say the employer has to pay for the coverage. Does that leave the employee stuck w/ a high premium plan from their employer and no help to pay for it?

3. Yes, you are stuck with your crappy insurance
and you can't use the exchange.

This whole deal is FUBAR.

2. All Right!
:applause:

I'm going to try to sign up as an individual to do this. :)

There isn't much that I can still do anymore. But on my good days I can still do phone work. I'll happily spend the day calling congress-critters.

I hope a lot of other DUers will do this too. This looks like something almost anyone can do to help pressure Congress together to do a better job on this health care bill.

9. I hope there are more calls than responses here. I have called each of my
Congress-critters three times and am going to continue.
