The Daily Caller, launched today, features a column by The Weekly Standard's Matt Labash, who calls Maddow the "sexiest man alive."

For those unfamiliar with me from my day job at The Weekly Standard, I'll give you a capsule bio by way of introduction: I have the gift of wisdom. Does that sound arrogant? I'm sorry, that wasn't my intention. I didn't choose wisdom. It chose me. If I had my druthers, I'd have chosen another gift, perhaps the untold riches of Lil' Wayne, whose teeth are made of actual diamonds, or to be the sexiest man alive, like Rachel Maddow. But wisdom is what they gave me, so wisdom is all I have to give back to you.

Funny, isn't it? No? Well, maybe you just don't get it. 'Cause, see, Rachel Maddow is gay. And so, according to Matt Labash, she's really a man. Now do you get it? No? Neither do I.

Oh, and later, Labash calls stop lights with cameras attached to photograph cars that run red lights "Legalized rape."

You'd think some people would be wise to this game now. You have a new blog or fishwrap...and need publicity. You do it by breaking eggs...pissing people off in hopes that the "outrage" turns into hours of babble on the cables. And there are plenty on this side of the sandbox who are more than happy to play along.

Here's hoping Rachel ignores this sliming...she's far better than bowtie boy and his "friends". Making light of it just gives these spoiled fratboys publicity. Suck the air out of their balloon...ignore 'em.

Ignoring and not giving a frat boy some free press to get traffic for his website is not sticking one's head in the sand. It's avoiding giving this shitstain the time of day and forcing him back into the weeds he came from. Bowtie Boy blew himself out of two cable network gigs and isn't worth the time of day.

If Bowtie Boy were the only source of lies and misinformation during the boooosh regime, I'd be the first to want to slap him silly, but he was just a cog in a larger machine that still dominates the corporate media, bowtie boy or not.

This is a stunt to get publicity...and hopefully Rachel is wise to this. Give this non-story any push puts yet another distraction out there that helps cloud issues of real importance.

But as a political activist and a junkie I have to know what's going on. I actually went over there and read his "advice column" if by that you mean the absurd ravings of an overgrown frat boy who is far too amused by his stupid (he believes them witty) "answers" to questions he may or may not have received from real readers. Tucker has actually done the amazing here - he's found someone even dumber and more overentitled than he is. I wouldn't have thought such a creature existed, especially one who has some small mastery over his keyboard if not over wisdom, that ephemeral thing he believes himself to be overly saddled with.
