Bad as Morning Joe was, they DID have an interesting discussion about Hllary and E.Edwards |
|
this morning with Bob Woodward, Gene Robinson and even...surprisingly!...with some remarks by Andrea Mitchell and Norah O'Donnell. The conversation was no longer just a Joe Scab diatrible against Harry Reid.
Woodward, who always obtusely makes his points, basically was analyzing the reportage in "Game Change" in a different fashion. Hope this segment is on youtube soon if you couldn't stomach watching the show (and I don't blame you). He pointed out in regards to the Hillary comment that she shouldn't be president by one of her aides, how the way this book is written we don't know who said it and in which context. I think he was really trying to blast this book for its lazy, unprofessional reporting.
On Elizabeth Edwards, Mika was "allowed" to speak and she made a case for understanding the personal torment of Elizabeth during the campaign, esp. when her cancer returned. She didn't condone John, tho.
Andrea made some points about the difference between what Trent Lott said and what Harry Reid said and they were right on. Even Norah challenged Pat (I think it was Pat) who commented that Trent's statement was at a dinner where he'd had a couple of drinks...Norah tartly replied that it was a LUNCH, which kinda shut Pat down...heh...typical of pukes isn't it, blame it on the booze!
Glad to see some organized take downs of Scabrous after yesterday's rant...

1. This equivalency thing they're trying to sell between Reid and Lott is baffling |
|
Lott basically endorsed Jim Crow and Reid made a comparatively narrow comment that, while asinine and offensive, was really more about packaged politics than anything else.

2. Their Equivalency Thing in Life is Baffling |

I love reading how Obamacare compares to Hitler's holocaust! The Repubs do hypocrisy better than anything else they do. And they certanly do it loudly.

5. Pat's "justification" for Lott's trash talk was pretty outrageous. |
|
I think Norah wanted to reach over the desk and slap him silly...

7. I want to conratulate you, CTyankee, for elaborating and giving us a summary |

of what you posted about. This is rare. At least 40% of the time it seems like all we get is an 'OMG'.
Since I'm writing to commend you, maybe it is more prevalent than 40% (which is unscientific, by the way - just my guess).
I don't own a tv, but the postings draw my attention.
I thank you. It is a model for others. I get the flavor and having watched in the past, I can fill in the rest because so much is predictable.
I can't tolerate Mitchell or O'Donnell, but good for O'Donnell. Four words - it was a lunch - is great.
THANKS!

8. Thank you! I was worried that I was being too "wordy" and nattering on. |
|
It was an interesting segment. There were all these people around the table, including Lawrence O'Donnell. Some people brought in ammo against the Reid diatribe so Joe couldn't talk over all of them. He was outnumbered. I really believe that his producer did that on purpose so Joe wouldn't turn off the viewers by hammering this thing to death. It was a pleasure watching it for that alone...which I why I keep tuning into MJ, and just muting it when certain other people come on that I know will only raise my blood pressure.

9. What kills me is that Joe was outnumbered yesterday too, when |
|
Larry O'Donnell pummeled him. Even Mica didn't rise to his rescue. Only his ego and humongous head would make him try to reprise the same argument today.

10. Did you hear Joe say on the show that he had been in a rant in the car coming to the studio |
|
this morning...Mika acknowledged that he had and then said nothing as he proceeded to editorize on her giving the news. It was a strange little vignette that played out...
