Bonus Quote of the Day

"I wouldn't know."

-- Sen. John McCain (R-AZ), in an interview on the Today Show, when asked about former aides claiming to the authors of Game Change that Sarah Palin was not adequately vetted.

1. Remember when in the debates he didn't seem to know that Czechoslovakia
was now the Czech Republic and had been for about 15 years?

How was HE vetted?

2. I actually saw that and my jaw just dropped
:wow: :wow:

When Lauer called him on it, he gave some lame excuse that he "wouldn't know who said it" then did his Sen. McGrumpypants schtick. It was shocking and made me drop to my knees thanking God that Obama was elected president even though I'm an agnostic. ;-)

3. What was interesting in this interview was...
McCain was more than willing to comment on the "Reid problem", saying that liberals were being inconsistent by asking for Trent Lott's resignation but not Reid's. But when Lauer tried to discuss the Palin revelations made in the SAME BOOK he didn't want to discuss it because it was two years ago (as was Reid's remark) and wasn't important in the context of the wars going on in Afghanistan and Iraq. What a hypocritical old fart.

4. That ticked me off, too.
In fact, the whole darned interview pissed me off and started my whole day out wrong...harrumph.
