Palin to address alcohol industry event in Las Vegas
Washington (CNN) – Las Vegas and alcohol probably aren't the first two things that come to mind at the mention of Sarah Palin, but the former vice presidential candidate is about to change that.

At least that's according to Craig Wolf, the president and CEO of the Wine and Liquor Wholesalers of America, who announced Tuesday that Palin will keynote the group's annual convention and and expo in Las Vegas in early April.

"Governor Palin is a great supporter of America's free enterprise system and understands that industries like the beverage alcohol industry play a key role in driving our national economy. We're proud and honored to welcome her as a speaker," Wolf said in a statement. "We expect she will share with the convention attendees her analysis of the current political environment and her vision for America's future."

The convention includes a "Wine and Spirits Tasting Competition," which, according to the press release, "secured a spot on the agenda after drawing overwhelming response and favorable feedback during its debut" last year.

11. This HAS to be a joke
I expect if too many people find out about this, like say....Olbermann, she'll cancel. Unless she's going for that certain demographic. She doesn't know what she's doing!

16. Being serious: Palin is a good choice here
Ever hear of Irl Stambaugh? He was chief of police in Wasilla until Palin got there.

Sarah canned his ass in part because he tried to change closing time for Wasilla's bars from 5am to 2am, and Palin's campaign contributors were the affected bars.

20. Wait two days
Press release from Sarah Palin's house: "Governor Palin, America's best-loved and not corrupt at all governor, states she does not know how the liquor industry got the idea she would be speaking at their convention. The governor believes drinking is evil, immoral and bad and so would never endorse their product or industry by stooping to speak at their convention. Governor Palin will be spending that night looking at Russia from her house and writing her next book, which has the working title 'I'm good enough, I'm smart enough and doggone it, people love me.' Besides, the check didn't clear."
