Beware of health care reform that holds up MA as a model: MA has highest per capita cost in WORLD

http://www.delawareonline.com/article/20100112/OPINION10/100111040/1004/OPINION/Beware-of-deals-devised-behind-politics--closed-doors

The Health Care Act being crafted by special interests in Washington is modeled after the Massachusetts Health Care Act.
When the Mass-Care single payer Coalition placed their excellent Massachusetts Act on the Massachusetts ballot a few years ago, it was only defeated by a 51 to 49 margin although they were outspent 60 to one by special interest fearmongers and dishonest propagandists.

This scared the bejabbers out of these special interests who then bought enough state legislators’ votes to pass their act, which was signed into law by former Republican Gov. Mitt Romney.

Since implementing this law, here are some of its results as reported by Mass-Care and the two Massachusetts physicians who founded the Physicians for a National Health Program: Massachusetts has the highest health care costs in the world; their small businesses experience insurance premium increases from 25 to 40 percent;

And of its citizens the law requires to purchase health care insurance, 25 percent can’t afford the cost and are fined one thousand dollars; and the act caused the closing of two Boston hospitals serving low-income communities.

.................This is reality.....More at the link at top of the page...................................

3. Remember the Guilty Parties that betrayed us
LIEberman, Ben Nelson, Bayh, Landrieu, Lincoln, Baucus, Conrad and Bingaman.

Every one of these traitors who sold us out should be primaried and voted out of office.

4. This area already had the highest healthcare costs in the country - in NH mine went up 25% too
So this is another lame attempt at exaggeration.

5. It's not about saving money. It's about feeding the insurance industry.
That's why the bill in Congress needs to die. Then we can save Massachusetts.

6. It's the Republican plan, written by insurance company lobbyists, and
first offered on GWB's website when he ran against Kerry.
