3. The poverty there is so awful.
They had nothing. And now they have less than nothing. Even with the whole world jumping in with all the resources they can muster it will take decades to put that city back together. I know several people who go regularly to the Gulf Coast to help since Katrina hit and there are still people who are struggling so.

It will be hard to watch this unfold.

5. As much as I can't stand him, I have to agree.
Watching him with Wyclef tonight was very sad. I really feel awful for the people there.

6. yes, he does.
when i first heard that, my first reaction was 'Cooper, stay out of the way!" But you're right ... his reporting will bring a lot of visibility to a wider audience, and hopefully that will result in more aid.

8. Wolf Blitzer (uck) actually showed some emotions today as this
story was unfolding.
A first for sure.

9. Better get your shots Anderson
and for the rest of the news crews to go, the same. And do me a favor, bring your own supplies, I am not kidding. I suspect from the latest info coming out, it is THAT BAD.

Hell if they can get some trained crews in the same plane...
