5. Glad he's doing it, although somewhat skeptical of his motives....
....Kendrick Meek, the likely democratic nominee for the Senate seat, has long been a big proponent of aiding Haiti. Assuming Crist survives the GOP primary (which is looking more and more dubious), he might try to use it as a campaign ploy.

That being said, given the choice between Crist and Jeb Jr. (i.e. Marco Rubio), if we are forced to have a GOP Senator no doubt I'd rather see Crist. Crist's m.o. is to campaign as a conservative but to govern as a moderate.

8. My thoughts exactly but he has a lot to lose here
since the tea bagging loonies are racists. Should be interesting to see if Rubio remains silent.

6. Good for him!
Unlike Randi Rhodes who tried her damndest to make it about her. At the opening of today's show she was claiming she "almost hesitates" to ask people to send help to Haiti because if SHE does, there are far too many people (implying Repbulican office holders) who will use that as an excuse for the U.S. to send no aid at all.

I was slow on switching stations today.

9. Jeez, it's so sad what happened to her.
When she first started out her syndicated show (and even before when she was a local host), she had so much promise as a liberal answer to conservative talk radio. Then about two or so years ago, she started to become so incredibly ego-obsessed and self-righteous that it was like she became a whole other person.
