Say what you want about CNN and Anderson Cooper, but their reporting from Haiti has been riveting. |
|
I was astonished what I saw last night. Incredibly sad, but I think something that still needs to be seen.

5. That's one of the few times I turn to CNN -- covering events such as this. |
|
It really helps us understand the horror and what people are going through, much more than an aerial shot of crumbled buildings and the talking head reporting. In such a tragedy, we need to remember that these people are brothers and sisters. Kudos to AC and CNN.

11. I've been a fan of his reporting since his days on the Channel One Network. |
|
Just FYI, the Channel One Network was a news service provided to high schools every morning. I don't know if it still active, but it was back when I went to high school in the 1990s. The use of commercials in between the news segments was a little dubious, but at least it tried to give some exposure to the issues of the day. Lisa Ling was also a reporter on Channel One.

10. CNN, Corporate News Network |

There, I said what I want to say about that steaming mound of propagandistic, shitpile of a phony news channel.

but it's important to see, I think.

people on the ground are doing excellent work, striking just the right tone of compassion combined with genuine journalism. Did you see Dr. Sanjay Gupta treating a 15-day old orphaned baby right in the street on an improvised table? Griping footage. Well done CNN! A world ahead of FOX and even MSNBC. SG
