19. Exactly. He has a circle of friends who will donate if he's behind it, contrary to Obama asking |
|
many of those same people.
The outrage over this is just ridiculous, the more people helping, the better it will be for those people in Haiti.

You'll not find anyone in Haiti who would turn down help just because the money came from Bush. The need all the help they can get.

23. Yep, give their money to Haiti |
|
But you'd have to prove to them that it's going to help WHITE skinned people in Haiti before those asshats give a dime. I remember Katrina all too well. It still isn't made whole. I suspect W's fixation on Condo is some kind of twisted neocon perversion, rather than a race blind affection.

8. I think what some fail to realize is that if bush was to be asked for anything |
|
Edited on Thu Jan-14-10 12:47 PM by AuntPatsy
it should have been for the release of his own funds piled up so neatly on the sweat and "blood" of others....what he should have been asked for was a very hefty monetary contribution from his own coffers, after all, most if not all of it was gained illegally, I for one see this as nothing more than some political game plan, why in the world would he be asked for something he obviously has proven in the past he is incapable of?
My opinion after reading the threads of people arguing if asking bush for his help was called for..
No..
He has plenty of hidden funds, lets make him put up or shut up forever...since he seems to be above the justice system, perhaps his pr system can be won from allowing any good deeds to come from his own camp and not once again having to come from others, honestly this is so wrong on so many levels unless they are attempting to bring him out of hiding otherwise, wrong....
Honestly, after Katrina, this is a slap in the face to the people still to this day effected by his lack of caring during that horrific event...

I really think Obama asked shrub to help because Obama believes in redemption. I think shrub is beyond redemption but let's see how much money he raises. Maybe for once in his useless life he can do some good.

|
your belief that I feel Shrub could atone for his abhorrent behaviour and handling of Katrina? If so then you have misunderstood me. There is NOTHING he can do to fix what he has done in the past. If perchance he can help in opening up some right wing pockets to help out with much needed funds then utilize the little sod (much to my chagrin). That's all I was saying.

|
coalition is an opportunity for Obama to promote his "can't we all just get along." principal.
If he generates big contributions, good for him. I just don't want to se his face plastering the
media in photo ops. There's always a price for something like this. I can just see it now,
Bush and Clinton standing in the rubble hugging Haitian survivors. Spare me.
