I figured "why not?" He's probably good for it, right?

2. Strangely, he didn't give me his name.
He wouldn't reveal his current salary or his credit history, either.

Hmm...

3. I hope you're charging him compounded interest with lots of fees
If its like an overdraft, you could probably get him for $300 by the time he pays you back.

4. No way!
Even if he has the money, bankers are greedy, so he'll find a way to keep from paying it back.

For example, he'll charge you a $40 fee for his accepting the loan. ;-)

5. If he doesn't pay you back at that time...
Edited on Thu Jan-14-10 04:30 PM by KansDem
Be sure to call him, stating that the call is an attempt to collect a debt and is being recorded for quality-control purposes;

Then ask him to give his name, verify his address and phone number;

Then say something like, "Can you make payment today?"

Then ask him for a reason why he "fell behind."

For an added touch, ask him if he'll have trouble repaying this loan.

Oh, and start about 8am in the morning, and call him everyday until you receive payment.

And finally, crap on his credit score...

on edit: Don't forget to add a $30 "late fee" and raise his interest to 29.9 to...oh, let's say 39%

6. I don't know, he sounds like a "toxic asset".
Maybe you can apply for a bailout, though.

7. Take his debt and all other debts owed to you,
bundle them up, and sell them to someone else for double the price they're worth.
