Who Needs Comedy?? I'm Watching A Rushpublican Senate Debate... |
|
Edited on Thu Jan-14-10 08:54 PM by KharmaTrain
It's being aired on one of the Chicago digital channels...but I'm glad I stumbled on it...lots of laughs.
There are three candidates...one is Andy Martin...infamous birther who has been running ads attacking "regular rushpublican" Captn Mark Kirk for being a "homosexual" and also for helping Hastert cover up the Mark Foley scandal (translation: Kirk's a pedophile, too).
Then there's Patrick Hughes...your run-of-the-mill talking point rushpublican who thinks the answer to all problems is lowering taxes on the rich and corporations. His shtick is to call President Obama a socialist at every chance.
Lastly there's John Arthington...a black. Yep, they found one...and probably the most sensible and experienced of the lot, but the day the rushpublicans elect a black is when El Rushbo admits he's a liberal.
Kirk skipped the debate...which just shows how really detached this party is. The good news is it looks like Martin is gonna throw as much dirt as he can...so much for "party unity".
This is a great representation of the big problems the GOOP has in the upcoming primaries and elections...the teabagging will tear them apart.

3. Giannoulis Is The "Favorite" |
|
Alexi Giannoulias is the state Treasurer...young and the "establishment" candidate. He's polled well; especially against the GOOP. There's also David Hoffman who is more Progressive. Here's a rundown on all the candidates: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/United_States_Senate_elections,_2010#Roland_Burris_of_Illinois
